The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announces an updated monthly wage increase for domestic workers, or kasangbahays, effective May 20, 2026.

With a new wage rate, there would be a ₱500-₱1000 increase for workers in the region.

Under Wage Order No. RIX-DW-06, the new monthly wage rate will be ₱6,000 for chartered cities and first-class municipalities in Sulu Province, while ₱5,000 for other municipalities.
