Capitol Medical Center proudly celebrates its recognition in the Newsweek–Statista Best Specialized Hospitals Asia Pacific 2026, a prestigious international ranking that honors hospitals demonstrating excellence in specialized healthcare across the Asia-Pacific region.

For the 2026 edition, 925 hospitals across the Asia-Pacific region were recognized for excellence in 10 specialized medical disciplines: Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Oncology, Pediatrics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, and Gastroenterology, with Gastroenterology introduced as a new specialty this year.

Capitol Medical Center earned its place among Asia-Pacific's Best Specialized Hospitals in Endocrinology, reflecting the hospital's continued commitment to delivering exceptional care for patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders. This recognition further strengthens Capitol Medical Center's position as a trusted provider of specialized healthcare in the region.

Published by Newsweek in partnership with Statista, the ranking is based on three key evaluation criteria:

  • Peer Recommendations (83.5%) – The largest portion of the score comes from recommendations by thousands of doctors, hospital executives, healthcare managers, and medical experts across the Asia-Pacific region. Hospitals are evaluated based on their professional reputation within their respective specialties, with previous years' recommendations also contributing to the overall score.
  • Accreditations and Certifications (10%) – Hospitals receive points for nationally and internationally recognized accreditations and certifications that demonstrate excellence in patient safety, clinical quality, and organizational performance.
  • Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) (6.5%) – Hospitals are also evaluated on how effectively they collect and utilize patient feedback to improve healthcare outcomes and enhance the overall patient experience.

This recognition is a powerful testament to Capitol Medical Center's unwavering commitment to quality improvement, innovation, and evidence-based healthcare. It demonstrates that the hospital's excellence is recognized not only within the Philippines but also across the Asia-Pacific region, placing Capitol Medical Center among the leading institutions in specialized healthcare.

Beyond this prestigious recognition, however, are the dedicated men and women whose compassion, expertise, and unwavering commitment have shaped Capitol Medical Center's 56-year healing legacy. For more than five decades, they have upheld a culture of excellence and compassionate service that continues to define the institution today.

Fittingly, this international recognition coincides with Capitol Medical Center's 56th Anniversary celebration, whose theme, "Healing Legacy, Caring Beyond Time," reflects the very values that have earned the hospital this distinction. It is a celebration not only of an award, but of the people, purpose, and enduring legacy behind it.

As specialized medicine continues to evolve, inclusion in the Newsweek–Statista Best Specialized Hospitals Asia Pacific 2026 affirms Capitol Medical Center's ability to meet internationally recognized standards while continuously enhancing patient outcomes and the overall healthcare experience.

More than an accolade, this recognition reinforces Capitol Medical Center's enduring mission of delivering exceptional healthcare with compassion, excellence, and innovation. As the hospital celebrates this significant milestone, it remains steadfast in its promise of providing "Right Care, Right Here," while continuing to raise the standard of medical excellence for Filipino patients and future generations.
