Lipa City, Batangas — Strengthening access to healthcare requires more than medical expertise. It also calls for partnerships that connect patients to appropriate institutions, specialized services, and available medical assistance.
This commitment takes a significant step forward with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between BMPI–UNTV and Mary Mediatrix Medical Center (MMMC), establishing the hospital as BMPI–UNTV’s first hospital partner in Batangas.
Representing BMPI–UNTV was Public Service Department Director Ms. Lyn Apinado. Mary Mediatrix Medical Center was represented by its Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Artemio C. Salvador; Chief Financial Officer Greisir Barana; and Director for Brand and Business Development Christo Rey Taño.
A member of the Mount Grace Hospitals, Inc. network, Mary Mediatrix Medical Center is an ISO-certified tertiary hospital and referral center recognized by the Department of Health as a Center of Excellence in Southern Luzon. Its specialized institutes for heart care, cancer, renal and transplant medicine, and clinical neurosciences provide focused expertise for patients with complex medical conditions.
The hospital continues to expand its healthcare capabilities through specialized services and patient-centered innovations. Its Urgent Care Center provides prompt medical attention for non-life-threatening conditions, while its Lifestyle and Wellness Center promotes preventive healthcare, early detection, and personalized wellness programs. In September 2026, MMMC was recognized as an Outstanding Regional Hospital at the iCare Better Health Awards, highlighting its commitment to healthcare quality.
Through this partnership, BMPI–UNTV seeks to strengthen coordination for patient referrals and medical assistance through its public service initiatives, including Serbisyong Bayanihan.
Beyond the signing ceremony, the agreement establishes a meaningful connection between public service broadcasting and hospital-based medical expertise. As BMPI–UNTV’s first hospital partner in Batangas, Mary Mediatrix Medical Center helps lay the groundwork for broader healthcare collaboration, bringing public service initiatives closer to Filipino families who need medical support.
