Mayor Gungun Gica orders the implementation of a cellphone ban in public and private schools in Dumanjug, Cebu.

Because of this, parents are required to register their contact information so they can be reached immediately for emergency concerns.

Security personnel will also be deployed 24 hours  to ensure the safety and security of the students, teachers, and staff.

All students are required to undergo an inspection before entering school. Any sharp objects, deadly weapons, and items that could cause trouble will be confiscated. Authorities will also flag minors riding motorcycles without a license.

The curfew for minors will be implemented. Curfew hours for grade 10 students and below will start at 8:00 PM, while for those 18 years old and below will begin at 10:00 PM.

Individuals aged 21 and below are prohibited from buying alcoholic beverages and cigarettes. Establishments or stores caught violating the policy will be held accountable.

According to Mayor Gica, these policies aim to instill discipline among youth.
