The Department of Tourism (DOT) revealed the top tourist destinations during the 2025 holiday season.

The agency believes that the long holiday break paves the way to strengthen domestic tourism, as many Filipinos traveled to different local tourist destinations.

The following destinations, along with the respective number of tourists as reported by the DOT, are as follows: 

1. Boracay Island - 118,745 (from December 15 to 28)
2. Baguio City - 117, 137 (from December 15 to December 31)
3. Cebu City - 102,124 
4. Camarines Sur - 92,000 
5. Panglao Island - 62,240 
6. Malajalog Beach - 56,543 
7. La Union - 47,338
8. Albay - 45,000
9. El Nido, Palawan - 40,000
10. Siargao - 32,742
11. Illocos Sur - 32,232
12. Sarangani - 26,191
13. Tacloban City - 25,194
14. Coron, Palawan - 17,850
15. Puerto Galera - 13,204
16. Nueva Vizcaya - 10,012
17. Bukidnon - 9,488
18. Camiguin Island - 6,558

Based on the data issued by the tourism department, Boracay and Baguio City remained the top choices of travelers during holiday season.

Furthermore, the data indicates that despite the cooler seasonal climate, majority of travelers considered going to islands and beaches for their holiday getaways.
