The Doctors’ Hospital, Inc. (TDHI) marks another milestone in advancing healthcare in Negros Island with the inauguration of its new Physical Rehabilitation Medicine Section at the TDHI Annex Building.

Established in 1950, TDHI began as a small group practice founded by young doctors who shared a vision of providing quality healthcare to the community. Over the decades, it has grown into a premier private tertiary hospital serving Bacolod City and the island of Negros. In 2019, the hospital became part of the expanding network of Mount Grace Hospitals, Inc., further supporting its efforts toward modernization and continued development of its facilities and people.

Today, TDHI offers a broad range of medical services delivered by doctors and specialists, with its approach grounded in compassion, excellence, and patient-centered care. Its continuing development reflects a commitment to respond to the changing healthcare needs of the communities it serves.

The new Physical Rehabilitation Medicine Section builds on that commitment by expanding access to rehabilitation medicine consultations, physical therapy, robotic rehabilitation therapy, stroke and orthopedic rehabilitation, and specialized services for pediatric and geriatric patients.

A key feature is its Robotic Rehabilitation Arm, described by TDHI as the only one of its kind in Negros Island. The technology provides additional support for patients recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, and upper-limb injuries, complementing conventional rehabilitation programs.

More than adding a new service, the facility reinforces the idea that healthcare extends beyond diagnosis and treatment. For many patients, true recovery means regaining mobility, strength, independence, and the confidence to return to everyday life.

The inauguration likewise reflects TDHI’s continuing role in strengthening healthcare in the region. The Doctors’ Hospital, Inc. is a partner of BMPI-UNTV in advancing public service and improving access to quality healthcare for communities in need.

With the new section, TDHI takes another meaningful step toward bringing modern, comprehensive, and patient-centered rehabilitation care closer to the people of Negros Island.
