Senate Minority Leader Vicente Sotto III filed a motion to put the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte on hold by his motion to table the motion to dismiss  rather than outright dismissal of the case.  

Sen. Sotto mentioned that this way, the Supreme Court will have the opportunity to act on the motions filed to reverse its decision regarding the articles of impeachment against the Vice President.
