National Bureau of Investigation – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Regional Director Atty. Jeremy Lotoc is scheduled to take the stand on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, for the continuation of his cross-examination on the fifth day of the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, according to Senate Impeachment Court Spokesperson Atty. Regie Tongol.

“Naka-schedule na i-upo ulit si Atty. Lotoc para doon sa continuation ng kanyang cross-examination dahil naalala mo kagabi, hindi natapos ’yon. Na-cut short,”  he said

[“Atty. Lotoc is scheduled to sit again for the continuation of his cross-examination because, as you remember, it was not finished last night. It was cut short.”]

Following the cross-examination, the redirect and re-cross examinations will proceed.

“So, itutuloy pagkatapos ng cross-examination, magkakaroon ng redirect examination naman yung House Prosecution Panel, and then after that, magkakaroon ng recross-examination,” Tongol added

After Atty. Lotoc’s testimony, the prosecution panel will present the Office of the Vice President’s chief of staff, Atty. Zuleika Lopez.

“And after the presentation of Atty. Lotoc, we are expecting the prosecution will present Atty. Zuleika Lopez, by virtue of the subpoena ad testificandum that was issued to her para umattend kahapon at saka today,” according to Atty. Regie Tongol

If Lopez fails to appear, Tongol stated that the prosecution team could ask the Senate impeachment court to issue a show-cause order against her.

“Kapag hindi nakapunta si Atty. Lopez, ine-expect natin that the prosecution will try to ask the presiding officer and the impeachment court to issue a show-cause order, so that the court will be informed about the reason kung bakit hindi nakapunta si Atty. Lopez,” he said

“And only after that, doon din magmo-move siguro ang prosecution na magpa-contempt kung  walang magandang basehan ng hindi pagpunta ni Atty. Lopez,” he added
