The number of suspects behind the killing of a political vlogger, Mima Alicia, has been increased, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).
According to Northern Police District Director PBGen. Benliner Capili, a total of six suspects have now been identified in the crime. Manhunt operations are still ongoing for the three suspects at large (including the mastermind).
PNP Chief PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. stated that authorities have already established the identities of two of the three unapprehended suspects.
The PNP Chief assured that all six individuals involved (from mastermind to the gunman) will be clearly identified. He added that the three suspects are currently arrested.
Based on the ongoing investigations, the motive allegedly stems from a personal grudge and debt.
The PNP has also recovered the firearm used in the killing.
The case will be presented to the Caloocan City Prosecution Office, according to PGen. Nartatez.
He also declared that the case is now considered solved.
