The National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) will soon publish the new administrative order on the issuance of Persons with Disability (PWD) ID, according to NCDA Executive Director Glenda Relova.

“So in the coming days po, ilalathala na din po ng NCDA yung ating bagong administrative order,” she said in an interview on PTV

Relova mentioned that in a new administrative order, individuals with apparent disabilities are no longer required to submit another medical certificate upon registration.

“Pag apparent ka, hindi mo na kinakailangang magbigay pa ng panibagong medical certificate kasi kita naman po yung disability,” she said

The initiative aims to make the process more accessible and convenient for the PWD.

Relova also noted that the NCDA is coordinating with the local government units in making the registration processes more disability-friendly.
