Several major roads in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) remain impassable due to landslides and road obstructions. Among those affected areas are Kennon Road and the Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road in Beckel, La Trinidad. Those are both key routes in and out of Baguio City.

Affected road sections were also reported in Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province.

Authorities have yet to provide a definite time for reopening the closed road sections because the clearing operations and safety assessments are still ongoing.

Motorists are advised to take the following alternate routes:

Kennon Road

  • Marcos Highway
  • Asin Nangalisan-San Pascual-La Union Boundary Road
  • Nagilan Road

Benguet Nueva-Vizcaya Road

  • Marlboro Beckel Road
  • Labey- Lacamen Road

Banaue-Hungduan-Benguet Boundary Road

  • Kiangan-Tinoc-Buguias Road

Tabuk-Banaue via Tanudan-Barlig Road

  • Cudal-Pangol-Gombuwwoy Road

Motorists are urged to avoid closed road sections for safety. Always check government advisories before departing. The monitoring of road conditions across the Cordillera region is ongoing.
