MANILA—The AFP Lady Gunnar proved their resilience at the Paco Arena on March 11, 2026, outlasting the DFA Emissaries in a hard-fought battle to secure their second consecutive victory in the UNTV Volleyball League Season 4. 

After a rocky start to the season that saw them drop their opening games, the military squad displayed superior court generalship and defensive tenacity to neutralize the DFA’s offensive rhythm. 

The win officially shifts the momentum for the Lady Gunnar, pulling them out of an early-season slump and back into serious contention.

Arianne Pacardo took center stage, earning Best Player of the Game award for her clinical performance. 

Pacardo’s ability to find gaps in the Emissaries' defense and her composure during high-pressure rallies were the deciding factors in the match. 

Despite the individual accolade, Pacardo remained humble and focused on the broader mission of the squad. 

“This is not just for us, this is for the team, and this is for the AFP,” she said during the post-game interview, dedicating the hard-earned triumph to her fellow public servants and teammates.
