Former Office of the Vice President Special Disbursing Officer Gina Acosta appeared before the Senate Impeachment Court on August 24, 2026.

The impeachment court is continuing discussions on Article I, which involves the alleged misuse of confidential funds.

During the proceedings, questions turned to confidential funds allocated to Davao City when Vice President Sara Duterte served as its mayor.

Presenting an infographic, private prosecutor Atty. Amando Ligutan asked Acosta if she remembered the alleged P460 million allocated funds for Davao City starting 2019.

Acosta responded that she could no longer remember the amount and added that she didn’t withdraw such an amount when she was the SDO in Davao City.

“Hindi ko maalala, Your Honor, kasi hindi po ganyan ang aking na-withdraw as SDO po sa Davao City,” she said

Ligutan emphasized that the question focused on the allocated amount, not the amount withdrawn.

“Ma'am, yung tanong is hindi ‘how much yung na-withdraw niyo’ yung tanong is ‘how much is yung na-allocate’,” he said

Acosta replied that she also could not remember the allocation, explained that it was years ago, and cited her age.
