The Department of Environmental and Natural Resources - National Capital Region (DENR-NCR) has conducted a site visitation in Valenzuela City.

According to the agency, the activity aims to examine the condition and progress of the National Greening Program (NGP) sites in the city. During the visitation, they personally checked the status of plantations in different areas:

• Coloong
• Ugong
• Roadside plantation in Mindanao Avenue Extension
• Urban greening project in Bignay National High School
  

Additionally, the DENR-NCR reported the 94.33% survival rate of the NGP sites.

“Ang mataas na survival rate na ito ay bunga ng maayos na koordinasyon sa pagitan ng DENR–NCR at ng mga lokal na katuwang, na nagsisiguro na ang bawat NGP site ay hindi lamang natataniman kundi tunay na napapangalagaan,” according to their online-issued statement
