Inaprubahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang pagtatalaga sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Philippine National Police (PNP) bilang katuwang ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) para sa kauna-unahang parliamentary elections ng Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) sa September 14, 2026.

Humarap sa Sandiganbayan si Senator Rodante Marcoleta kaugnay ng pagdinig sa isyu ng kanyang kalusugan.

Kinumpirma naman ng UP Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) na wala na siyang pneumonia.

Nakatakdang simulan mamayang hapon ang oral arguments kaugnay ng hiling na ipa-subpoena ang tax at bank records nina Vice President Sara Duterte at ng kanyang asawang si Atty. Mans Carpio.

Bahagi ito ng nagpapatuloy na impeachment trial ng bise presidente.

Sa ikalimang araw ng impeachment trial laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte, tinalakay ang imbestigasyon ng National Bureau of Investigation sa mga umano'y banta mula sa mga paratang laban sa bise presidente hanggang sa mga claim na may banta rin sa kanyang buhay.

The defense panel of Vice President Sara Duterte names its deputy spokesperson, Atty. Justin Nicol Gular.

Defense spokesperson Atty. Michael Poa said that Gular will represent just in case he is not available for interviews.

“Kasi nga minsan nahihirapan na ako with the media schedule. So I'm tapping him to be the deputy spokesperson of our defense team. So, in case hindi ako available, at least someone will help the defense in terms of having to get her message across," he said

Atty. Gular is a senior associate in Fortun Narvasa & Salazar law firm; graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of San Carlos.
