Nagpang-abot ang 2 barko ng China matapos na subukan ng mga itong itaboy ang mga sasakyang pandagat ng Pilipinas sa Bajo de Masinloc kamakailan. Hinabol ng Chinese Coast Guard ang BRP Suluan ng PCG, ngunit nang haharangin na nito ang sasakyan ng Pilipinas ay tumama naman ito sa isang warship ng Chinese Navy.

Free rides for National ID holders this August

The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) management announced a free ride for National ID holders this month of August.

To avail, commuters may present their national ID to security personnel of MRT-3 stations. Aside from the physical card, a printed copy or the digital copy of the national ID is accepted.

The free ride can be availed every Wednesday - August 6, 13, 20 and 27 - from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.

According to the rail management, the free ride or ‘libreng sakay’ was in response to the request of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and in line with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to promote the use and benefits of the national ID

Senate approves to archive articles of impeachment vs. VP Sara Duterte

Voting 19-4 and one abstention, the Senate approved the motion of Senator Rodante Marcoleta as amended by Senator Joel Villanueva, adhering to the decision of the Supreme Court declaring the articles of impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte 'unconstitutional'.

Also, the majority of the senators voted ‘yes’ to archive the articles of impeachment.
