In the best-of-three finals series of the 2025 UVL Season 3, BFP Lady Firefighters suffered a heartbreaking Game 1 defeat that now puts them in a must-win situation. However, their resolve remains unshaken as they aim for a stronger comeback, driven by their commitment to sports and their chosen beneficiary.

The Lady Firefighters, known for their powerful serves and strategic plays, fell to the command of PNP Lady Patrollers at the Paco Arena. Despite their best effort, the Lady Patrollers ultimately clinched the victory, leaving the Lady Firefighters with a tough road ahead.

The pressure is undeniably on for the BFP Volleyball Team, as a loss in Game 2 would mean the end of their championship hopes. However, more than just the trophy, the team is fueled by a deeper purpose: extending the series for the benefit of their chosen beneficiary, the Bless Our Cops Movement, Inc.

Winning Game 2 and extending the series for a trophy directly translates to increased funding for their chosen charity. The players have openly expressed their dedication to this cause, turning their personal disappointment into a renewed determination to fight harder for those they represent.

BFP Coach Lorenzo Diaz acknowledged the team's initial weakness but emphasized the need to regroup and refocus immediately. "Medyo lumamya yung depensa ngayon, palagi kaming nabubutasan sa down the line," Coach Diaz emphasized in a post-game interview.

"Kailangan talaga pag-igihan namin na makabawi kami sa 2nd game. Kung ano yung mga weakness namin kailangan mag double time kami doon lalo na sa blocking,” he stressed.

Game 2 is scheduled for June 22, 2025, at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum. The BFP Lady Firefighters' coach calls on their beneficiaries not to lose hope as they battle tooth and nail to keep their championship dreams and their charitable mission alive.

“Sa beneficiaries po namin, ‘wag kayong mag-alala kasi pipilitin po namin makuha yung second game para maging masaya at makarating pa tayo sa decision sa game 3,” Coach Reyes gracefully concluded.
