The viral 27-year-old TNVS driver who fled a gas station after getting a full tank has surrendered to the authorities.

On March 22, a driver loaded a full tank of his silver Toyota Innova, which amounted to around ₱5,000. After refueling, he sped off and didn’t pay.

According to the Philippine National Police (PNP), the incident happened along EDSA in Barangay Apolonio Samson, Quezon City.

The driver claimed he was short on cash and was under pressure because his child is about to graduate.

The PNP was able to track the driver’s identity and location through backtracking CCTV footage, and also with the support of the concerned agencies.

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) says the driver will face estafa charges following the incident.

“He was later handed over to authorities to face charges for estafa, which will be filed before the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office,” according to the PNP
