Republic Gas Corporation (REGASCO) implemented a staggered price adjustment for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) products on April 6, 2026, following movements in international contract prices.
Currently, the suggested retail price of an 11-kg LPG cylinder in Luzon will now climb to ₱1,600.
According to REGASCO President and CEO and LPGMA Founder Arnel Ty, there are two primary factors of price hike: the increase in local freight and shipping costs.
He also explained that the shipping costs have surged by 4 to 5 times.
“Makikita po ninyo ang laking pagkakaiba ng shipping cost na sinasabi namin: it is times 4 and sometimes times 5,” he said
