The Philippine National Police (PNP) stands solid and completely unaffected by political maneuvers or baseless rumors of unrest within the uniformed services.

PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. formally expressed deep gratitude to Senator Panfilo Lacson on June 15, following the former PNP chief’s public declaration that both the police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) remain steadfast.

General Nartatez emphasized that Lacson’s reassurance carries immense weight among the ranks, serving as a vital morale booster during a period of brewing political noise.

"We highly appreciate and welcome the vote of confidence from former PNP chief, Senator Panfilo Lacson, as it reaffirms that the Philippine National Police remains solid, professional, and entirely unaffected by any attempt to compromise the apolitical stand of the organization," Nartatez said in an official news release.

He added that the senator's words strongly validate the current administration's "focus on institutional integrity and our absolute loyalty to the Constitution and the chain of command."

To maintain this standard, PNP Chief Nartatez immediately ordered all police units nationwide to tune out the noise, refrain from political speculation, and focus strictly on public safety operations.

"I want to assure the Filipino people that the men and women of the PNP will not be swayed by rumors or divisive political interests. Our only mandate is to preserve public order and enforce the rule of law," the PNP chief concluded, reinforcing the organization's unwavering commitment to its professional duties.
