The Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group will conduct an intensified cyber patrolling following an issue regarding an online extremist group that promotes violence to the youth. The initiative aims to separate or protect the youth from the group that may encourage them to be violent.

Authorities will investigate the so-called online adult groomers linked to the 764 network, a transnational online extremist group. The possible involvement of Filipino locals will also be included in the investigation, according to PNP Chief PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.

It is believed that the two shooters in San Jose National High School in Tacloban may be victims of the group. It is also possible that they allegedly met the adult groomer while playing GoreBox and were subsequently encouraged to commit violent acts.
