Vice President Sara Duterte called the ‘mahiya naman kayo’ remark of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. a PR stunt.

The Vice President explained that the President only said this to make it appear as if he had no involvement in the flood control project anomalies. She also asserted that the President cannot distance himself from the issue because he was the one who signed the budget that is linked to the controversy.

“Yung sinabi niya na ‘mahiya naman kayo’, it was a PR stunt na sinali nila yung linya na yon sa speech niya,” she said

She also criticized the administration for allegedly failing to hold accountable or jail anyone involved in the flood control scandal.

“Wala naman siyang napakulong sa flood control ah scandal eh,” she said

Because of this, the Vice President stated that the public should no longer expect that the high-profile figures linked to the issue may be held accountable.
