President Bongbong Marcos Jr. conducted an inspection of the new facilities at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 yesterday.

The President commends the launch of the new facilities in the airport.

“Lahat ng mapuntahan mo sa airport, komportable ka. Mayroon na tayong restroom, mga Wi-Fi. We have restored old equipment, enhanced baggage handling. Introduce new mobility options.” PBBM said

["Anywhere you go in the airport, you feel comfortable. We have the restroom, Wi-Fi. We have restored old equipment, enhanced baggage handling. Introduce new mobility options."]

New facilities, such as e-gates are now operational. These are expected to make the queues smoother.

New NAIA Infra Corporation General Manager Angelito Alvarez explained that e-gates are now working for arriving Filipino passengers holding a Philippine passport.  The initial rollout for departure is currently working for the OFWs.

“Sa arrival at ikaw ay Filipino national, magagamit mo na ‘yan, pero sa departure naman, ang initial rollout ay para sa OFW workers pero bigyan pa natin ng konting days ‘yung immigration. May pina-fine tune pa sila at in the next few days or weeks ay pwede na nating i-rollout ‘yan.” he said.

[For arrivals and you are the Filipino national, you can use that, but on departure, the initial rollout is for the OFWs but let's give a few days for the immigration. They are still fine tuning something and in the next few days or weeks we can roll it out.”]
