MANILA—OP Bagong Pilipinas stamped their authority on the hardcourt on Sunday at the Paco Arena, dismantling the GSIS Furies with a commanding 85–62 victory. 

From the opening tip-off, the Office of the President (OP) squad showcased a relentless offense and a suffocating defense that left the Furies struggling to keep pace. 

The blowout win marks a significant turning point for OP Bagong Pilipinas as they officially tally their first win of the UNTV Cup Season 12.

The game was a showcase of dominance for the OP side, which turned what many expected to be a competitive matchup into an easy night at the office. 

By controlling the glass and pushing the tempo, they effectively neutralized the GSIS offensive schemes. 

The 23-point margin reflected a cohesive team effort, with the Bagong Pilipinas roster firing on all cylinders to keep the Furies at a safe distance throughout the four quarters.

Leading the charge was Kenneth De Vega, who earned Best Player of the Game honors with a powerhouse double-double performance. 

De Vega was unstoppable in the paint, dropping 16 points and hauling down 11 rebounds to anchor the OP frontcourt. 

His efficiency and presence on both ends of the floor provided the spark Bagong Pilipinas needed to overwhelm the Furies and signal to the rest of the league that they are a force to be reckoned with this season.
