The first-ever bridge directly connecting North Korea and Russia has officially opened.
According to Pyongyang, the bridge can facilitate travel, tourism, and trade between the two nations. The infrastructure is designed to accommodate up to 300 vehicles.
The bridge will primarily be utilized for freight delivery before opening to passenger transport later this year.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stated that this structure serves as the new symbol of friendship between Moscow and Pyongyang.
However, the Ukrainian investigative group Truth Hounds believes that the infrastructure could also serve as a military logistics route to support Russia in its war against Ukraine.
