The implementation of No Contact Apprehension in six cities of Metro Manila resumes on Monday, October 5, 2026.
The NCAP is effective in six cities in Metro Manila, including Manila, Quezon City, Muntinlupa City, Parañaque City, Valenzuela City, and San Juan City.
However, only Valenzuela City will not implement the measure for now due to road construction in various areas of the city and the daily, changing traffic situation.
Valenzuela City Mayor Wes Gatchalian stated that they do not want to add burdens to motorists for now while road construction in the city is not yet fully completed. The city government will issue an official advisory once the NCAP enforcement is ready to resume.
“Hindi muna natin ipatutupad ang NCAP sa Valenzuela. Nauunawaan natin ang layunin ng no contact apprehension policy, pero sa sitwasyon natin ngayon sa Valenzuela, hindi pa ito ang tamang panahon para ipatupad ito,” he said
Meanwhile, enforcement will proceed across the five other participating cities.
The NCAP aims to apprehend and hold violators accountable through the cameras installed along various roads in Metro Manila. Apprehended violators will undergo verification and must pay a fine.
