The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has formed a Task Force Cash Cow to probe alleged irregularities in the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, where the Philippines is the host country at that time.
The bureau has issued subpoenas against seven individuals and is also coordinating with the Commission on Audit (COA) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) for the related documents.
The Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) is open for investigation.
They also asserted that the over P2-billion fund was liquidated and underwent an independent audit, based on the certification of the Philippine Sports Commission.
