Lead Public Prosecutor and Batangas 2nd District Representative Gerville Luistro opposes Senator Alan Peter Cayetano's proposal for interim administration.

The lawmaker said that no provision in the constitution allows to grant Cayetano’s proposal.

“Constitution does not provide for interim administration. Ang hirap ding i-conceive na dalawa ang Senate President, dalawa ang SecGen, dalawa ang clerk of court. There has to be one only because that’s what the constitution provides,” she said

[Constitution does not provide for interim administration. It’s also hard to conceive that there are two Senate Presidents, two SecGens, two clerks of court. There has to be one only because that’s what the constitution provides.”]

She said that the House prosecution panel supports the position of the House of Representatives.

“Kung nasaan yung House, nandodoon kami,” she said

[If where’s the House, we are also there.”]

Luistro also mentioned that the House prosecution panel supports the chamber’s recognized leadership under acting Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian.
