The  Land Transportation Office (LTO) and Bureau of Customs (BOC) have reinforced joint inter-agency enforcement on the Porsche 918 Spyder probe.

The LTO is currently coordinating with the BOC for a broader investigation to find out necessary information regarding the possible misdeclaration on the vehicle’s importation.

LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus Lacanilao stated that there will be an agency personnel accountable in this incident.

“May mananagot po na empleyado ng LTO. Siguradong may matatanggal po dito at makakasuhan, he said

[“An LTO employee may be held accountable. Someone will definitely be dismissed and charged.”]

“Mayroon pang isang registered owner bago kay Mr. Ramsay na nakapangalan sa kanya. Pati siya papatawag namin para ma-determine kung may kinalaman din siya dito sa ginawa nilang pagpapapel sa LTO,” he added

[“There is another registered owner named before Mr. Ramsay. We will also summon that person to determine if they were involved in how the paperwork was processed at the LTO.”]

The Porsche 918 Spyder is one of the high-end supercars that is strictly monitored by authorities due to importation issues and utilization of unauthorized plates.
