Lawmakers expressed hope for a swift process of extradition for KOJC Leader Apollo Quiboloy, who faces several charges in the US.

House Senior Deputy Minority Leader and Mamamayang Liberal Party-list Rep. Leila De Lima hopes that the Department of Justice (DOJ) will not delay the matter.

“This has been a long time coming. We hope that Apollo Quiboloy’s extradition to the United States proceeds without delay,” she said

“We understand that the DOJ has already anticipated this, and we hope it will act swiftly to assess the request and immediately seek the President’s clearance, which is just a matter of procedure,” she added

House Minority Leader and Akbayan Party-list Rep. Percy Cendaña also expressed the same view, stating that Quiboloy’s extradition process should be expedited, so he can be held accountable on the crimes he committed.

“Dapat madaliin ang proseso ng kanyang extradition at pagbayaran niya ang kanyang mga krimen. Yun lang ang tanging magbibigay ng katarungan at katahimikan sa kanyang mga biktima,” he said

[“The extradition process should be expedited, so he pays for his crimes. That is the only thing that will bring justice and peace to his victims.”]
