MANILA—The top-seeded BFP Lady Firefighters capitalized on their twice-to-beat advantage, obliterating the DFA Emissaries in a straight-set sweep, 25-9, 26-24, 25-17, during the UNTV Volleyball League Season 4 quarterfinals at the Paco Arena on June 3. 

BFP demonstrated absolute dominance in the first and third sets, completely deflating DFA's postseason hopes. 

With this decisive victory, the preliminary round leaders officially punch their ticket to the highly anticipated semifinals.

Phanie Adolfo earned Best Player of the Game honors after spearheading the Lady Firefighters' relentless frontline assault. 

Adolfo put up a spectacular all-around performance, dropping 15 points anchored on 12 explosive attacks, two blocks, and an ace. 

Her elevated play anchored BFP's offense and defense whenever the Emissaries attempted to push back, ensuring the top seeds avoided any potential complications.

"Very happy kasi nagbunga po yung training namin, yung sacrifices namin, sa mga coach namin, sa mga team manager namin na laging binibigay nila lahat para sa bawat isa sa amin, at sa family din namin po," Adolfo expressed in an interview after the match. 

BFP now shifts its focus to the next stage of the tournament, as the single round-robin semifinals are scheduled to ignite on June 10.
