While the Temporary Restraining Order issued by the Pasig City Regional Trial Court is still active, labor groups continue to seek a response from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Labor groups recently initiated a protest in front of the DOLE main office and called this the National Day of Action, as other protests are also conducted in regional and provincial offices of the department.

The Labor Coalition called on DOLE Secretary Francis Tolentino to lead efforts to invalidate the TRO that hinders the implementation of the P85 wage hike in Metro Manila.

The group emphasized that if the court orders opposing the wage hike are not lifted, they will be forced to raise this matter to the Supreme Court.
