The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) warns OFWs and aspiring workers to be cautious of illegal recruiters, offering job positions in Japan under the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP).

The department cited a report, explaining that this illegal scheme is being linked to a Filipina in Japan who has no authority from the DMW to send Filipinos to other countries.

Additionally, the individual allegedly uses personal agents and social media platforms to encourage applicants and collect placement fees in exchange for fake documents.

The DMW emphasizes that the collection of placement fees from TITP applicants is strictly prohibited and considered unlawful.

Only licensed recruitment agencies are authorized to recruit for TITP.
