Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Henry Aguda has responded to the resignation rumors about him.

The Secretary declined to identify who might be behind the spread of such information, but stated that it may have stemmed from those affected by the reforms within the agency.

“Sa akin, saan ba nanggagaling ’yan? Mahirap na baka mamaya ako pa yung makuryente. Hindi na importante kung saan nanggagaling. Ano ba yung pinanggagalingan? Tingin ko in fairness to the team, marami rin kasi kami yung nasagasaan na,” Aguda said

Additionally, it is also possible that the illegal gambling and others have been affected, which is why Aguda believes that there is a certain source, making the rumors surface.

Secretary Aguda also stated that this is fake news and the action related to this matter is being handed over to the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC).

Also, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro stated in a press briefing that there are no current updates regarding the cabinet revamp.

“Sa ngayon po ay wala pa rin pong ipinapaabot sa atin na update pero kapag mayroon, ibibigay ko po agad sa inyo,” she said
