Croatia opens job opportunities for 435 Filipinos - DMW

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) announced its partnership with the Croatian Employment Services on job opportunities for Filipinos under a Government-to-Government (G2G) hiring program.

A total of 435 positions in the hospitality and food service sectors are up for grabs, the DMW said in a a statement. 

Specifically, the pilot recruitment includes 255 positions for room attendants, 110 waiters and 70 cooks or chefs. 

Interested applicants must possess the following requirements to qualify:

  • A Filipino citizen aged 18 years and above;
  • Have completed at least 10 years of education (secondary level);
  • Possess a TESDA NC II Certification in the relevant field;
  • Physically and mentally fit for overseas employment. 
  • English proficiency certification;
  • Prior work experience (not mandatory).

Likewise, applicants must present the following documents: 

  • A valid NBI clearance;
  • Birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA);
  • A passport with at least one year validity.

Applicants must register and secure an appointment via the DMW Portal and personally submit their documentary requirements to the DMW Central Office in Ortigas or any DMW Regional Office. 

According to DMW, those who will be hired will receive a salary ranging from €976.99 to €1,079.24, or approximately P62,500 to P69,000 gross monthly depending on the job title.

Application deadline is on September 24, 2025.

“Ang mahalaga dito, malinaw ang kasunduan at parehong gobyerno (Philippines and Croatia) ang nagbabantay. That means may proteksyon, may suporta, at siguradong may respeto sa ating mga manggagawa,” said DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac citing directive from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on safeguarding the welfare of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
