British lawyer Peter Haynes has been introduced as the new legal counsel of former President Rodrigo Duterte and the one who will handle his case, crimes against humanity.

This replacement follows the ICC’s move to grant the withdrawal of Atty. Nicolas Kaufman as the former president’s legal counsel.

Haynes is a well-known personality in the field of International Criminal and Humanitarian Laws.
