The face-to-face classes in Las Piñas National High School and Las Piñas National Senior High School — Diego Cera Campus have been suspended from August 3 to 7, 2026.
The suspension follows the death of a 13-year-old student at Las Piñas National High School, who was stabbed by a classmate over the alleged unreturned ₱10 change from buying water at the school canteen.
The incident happened on July 31, 2026.
The suspension of face-to-face classes was ordered by the government to give consideration to the mental health and psychological well-being of the students.
Both schools will temporarily shift to asynchronous or modular distance learning. Face-to-face classes may resume on August 10 (Monday).
