Mas mabuting alamin ang pinagmulan ng kumakalat na ulat tungkol sa umano'y pag-aresto kay Sen. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa.

Ito ang reaksyon ni Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro kaugnay ng balitang iniuugnay sa kasong kinahaharap ng senador sa International Criminal Court (ICC), na aniya'y maaaring ginagamit bilang diversionary tactic.

Kumalat kahapon ang ulat na naaresto na si Sen. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa. Gayunman, sinabi ng Department of Justice at National Bureau of Investigation na wala silang impormasyon na nagpapatunay sa naturang balita.

Naging sentro sa ika-12 araw ng impeachment trial ang mga disbursement voucher, liquidation report, at accomplishment report kaugnay ng 2023 confidential funds ng Department of Education noong si Vice President Sara Duterte pa ang kalihim nito.

Iniharap ng prosekusyon ang mga dokumentong may pirma ni VP Duterte, habang iginiit ng depensa na may umiiral na mga alituntunin na dapat ding isaalang-alang sa pag-audit ng confidential funds.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is currently preparing evidence for its upcoming probe into alleged anomalies in flood control projects.

According to NBI Director Melvin Matibag, the bureau is currently preparing to investigate over 27 flood control projects.

Among these is the alleged anomaly in Taguig City flood control project mentioned by Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson.

In line with this, the NBI may request copies of the documents of flood control projects that Senator Lacson submitted to the Office of the Ombudsman.

“I think yung kay Senator Lacson, finile na niya sa Office of the Ombudsman eh. If he will voluntarily wants to share it to us, we can write a letter to him to provide us the documents also for our investigation,” Matibag said

The NBI chief added that the investigation into the 27 flood control project cases may include the case linked to Senator Jinggoy Estrada, former Senator Bong Revilla, and former DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan.
