January 13, 2026 9:58 PM
PST

The Wish Music Awards is an annual celebration of OPM and Charity.

Through the years of giving heartfelt recognitions, the spirit of charity remains consistent. For every award received, a chosen beneficiary also wins. Through its steadfast philanthropic advocacy, Wish 107.5 has played a significant role in providing essential support to those in need over the years.

If you’re wondering what makes Wish Music Awards worth your viewership, here are the five things that make OPM and the people behind it really do make a difference.

1. Stellar Performances

More than just a recognition, the Wish Music Awards (WMA) is a platform for Filipino music artists to perform their hits and vibe with Wishers and Kasangbahays.

On the 11th Wish Music Awards, the IV of Spades performed “Aura”, released on July 16, 2025, after their five-year hiatus.

The track won a Rock Song of the Year at the Filipino Music Awards on October 21, 2025.

Loonie, Frizzle Anne, and Arthur Nery intensified the noise at the Big Dome, making the audience vibe and sing along at the top of their lungs.

Fitterkarma performed their track, “Ang Pag-ibig ay Kanibalismo II”, which garners over 50 million streams on Spotify.

2. The Orange Carpet

The Orange Carpet serves as the grand opening of the program, where the invited artists are officially introduced as they walk on the carpet.

This segment is a perfect chance for the fans to see their favorite artists up close and off-screen.

3. The Awarding Ceremony

After the Orange Carpet, this is the moment that the majority are waiting for, the awards night!

All artists are seated, waiting for their names to be called on stage.

The awarding ceremony serves as the highlight of the event, where the winners and their chosen beneficiaries are officially announced.

Every winner receives a trophy, a ₱25,000.00 cash prize, and a ₱100,000 donation for their selected beneficiary.

4. The Philanthropic Advocacy

Wish 107.5 is not just a platform for the artists. The station is also known for its charitable efforts in reaching the communities in need.

For every win, there is a respective community that will benefit. The hope is born for those in need.

And through the years of implementing the advocacy, Wish 107.5 has been a part of people’s development and success.

5. The support of Wishers and Kasangbahays

Your consistent and warm support makes the event more alive and successful.

The performing artists see everyone from the ground to the bleachers of the Big Dome, vibing to their music.

The winners hear your claps and screams, expressing how proud you are of them

Wishers and Kasangbahays, you will always be a part of the artists and the station’s success.

Hoping that you will be with us on the next journeys of celebrating music and charity.

Let us be united in breaking boundaries!

Evacuation update amid Mayon Volcano’s unrest

January 8, 2026 7:15 PM
PST

The evacuation operation for residents within the 6-km Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) from Mayon Volcano continues under the direction of the local government.

Camalig Mayor Carlos Irwin Baldo Jr. stated that residents are eager to evacuate as they are aware of the increasing risks in the area.

“Ok naman po silang ilikas kasi alam naman nila na delikado sila doon sa 6-km,” he said in an exclusive interview with UNTV.

[“It’s okay for them to evacuate because they know that it’s dangerous for them there in the 6-km,”]

PHILVOLCS previously mentioned that the alert status of Mayon volcano may escalate to Level 4 if the hazardous activities continue to intensify.

Volcano Monitoring and Eruption Prediction Division Chief (PHIVOLCS) Ma. Antonia Bornas said in a video statement

"Maaari pong tayong magtaas ng Alert Level 4. Magkakaroon po tayo ng explosive eruption. Hopefully, makikita po natin ito sa ating monitoring parameters lalong lalo na po yung pagtaas ng Sulfur Dioxide na siya pong mangangahulugan na mayroong mabilis na umaakyat na magma,”

[“We can escalate it to Alert Level 4, wherein we’ll have the explosive eruption. Hopefully, we will see it on our monitoring parameters, especially the increase of Sulfur Dioxide, which will signify that there’s a  rapid ascent of magma.”]

If escalation occurs, the danger zone will be extended to seven kilometers.

“Kung tataas po ‘to sa Alert Level 4, e-extend po ito sa 7 kilometers,” he said

[If it rises to Alert Level 4, it will be extended to 7 kilometers.”]

Additionally, Mayor Baldo urges the remaining residents to evacuate as early as possible, following the warning of PHIVOLCS regarding the hazards from the lava flow.

Recently, the Albay Electric Cooperative implemented a temporary power service interruption for residential houses within the 6-km PDZ, which serves as a safety measure to prevent residents from returning to their houses.

The Philippine National Police Regional Office 5 is currently on heightened alert for emergency response.
